Hey there. I have not even updated my journal since I began on deviantART. I am sure that I will hardly ever update my journal.

Well, life is somewhat rough in ways for me, but otherwise somewhat okay. I have been, however, constantly eaten by a naggy feeling that I need to start on more sketches when I am finished with others. I am unsure of whether to take a break or keep drawing.

If I choose the latter, I am out of sketch ideas frequently, so I am considering taking art trades if so. My main self-peeve is that I take a long time to draw one sketch because I cannot usually put my pencil to the paper, so it takes days, sometimes more, to draw something. Even then, I can only draw Pokemon at the moment, and simple creatures. I am going to open art trades for the time being.

These are my specifications:

What I will draw:
Pokemon
Group pictures of up to two

What I will not draw:
Any other kind of creature or humans
A full picture including scenery (possibly a couple of props, depending, but nothing more)
Group pictures of three or more
Special effects (i.e. fire or electricity in an attack)
Legendary pokemon
Requests (most likely, I will only take art trades for the time being)

Warnings:
I am very slow to draw a picture, so if you ask for a trade, I must ask you in return to be patient with my half.
If you ask for a trade, I must ask you to be extremely specific on your details and what you would like in return, how the picture should be drawn.
I only do pencil sketches, nothing else.
I will most likely not color pictures in art trades without good reason.
For the first couple or few times drawing a Pokemon, I need reference pictures to get certain body parts, proportions, or details well (meaning that I am terrible at drawing Pokemon in certain poses or perspectives).



The only thing I really have to fear is my lack of motivation of picking up my pencil and putting it to the paper, as I put it. I require time to draw a decent sketch of a character. And yes, I have the stress of school, as well, though I try to get pictures done once I begin.
